DREAM ARTS CO. opens its 2017 musical theatre season with a high-energy Broadway revue, ON BROADWAY: A Musical Theatre Revue.
From the toe-tapping sounds of Thoroughly Modern Millie and the soaring excitement of Moana to the stirring rhythms of Matilda and the enchantment of The Sound of Music, audiences will be treated to a cook's tour of more than a dozen shows featured in Disney musicals and on Broadway.
The talented cast filled with kids, teens and young adults will take the stage at Birmingham Groves High School May 12 at 7:00 p.m., and May 13 at noon.
"One of the biggest thrills of the theatre is the expansive natures of the art form's genres. At Dream Arts Co., we work to create theatre that is both recognizable as well as intriguing to the theatrical brain," said Creative Director Tiffany Victoria Sims. "Our showcase seamlessly weaves together several decades, genres and styles of musical theatre that will have audience members humming along to familiar tunes and enthralled with new ones.”
Advanced tickets are available at www.dacompany.org for $15 for adults and $12 for youth 16 years and younger. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the show.
Additionally, groups of 12 or more qualify for a special discount of $10/ticket and will receive reserved seating. The show will run approximately 1 hour, 45 minutes, including a brief intermission.
