Sprout Pouches and Snacks: Honest to Goodness Foods

Just Like Homemade, Without the Work

When I first became a new mom, I was ready to do everything the “right way”, and one of those things was making all of my baby’s food from organic fruits and vegetables in my baby food processor.  No chemicals, pesticides, GMOs, preservatives, or added sugar would ever go into my little one!  Now that I have 2 children (one is a toddler), I can’t find time to shower, clean, or sleep, let alone make every meal from scratch.  Cue…mommy guilt!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to try Sprout food pouches and snacks.  Sprout recipes feature tasty combinations of whole fruits, vegetables, and grains that let the amazing taste of organic ingredients shine through, without the need for additives, fillers, thickeners, or preservatives.  I picked up every single pouch, and the flavors on the front were the same as the ingredients on the back.  Other brands list flavors on the front, but the leading ingredients are apple sauce or bananas or some other filler.

When I was making my own baby food, combinations were so boring—carrot-banana, squash-peas, pear-banana, and my daughter would be eating the same things for weeks!  Sprout has flavors like “Strawberry with Superblend Banana & Butternut Squash”, “Banana Buckwheat Blackberry”, “Peach Banana Quinoa Raisin”, “Mango Oatmeal Butternut Squash”, and “Pear Kiwi Peas Spinach”!  I’m actually envious of the choices my son has, and I wish they made adult versions of these meals.  Research shows that starting babies on healthy foods early in development helps foster healthy eating habits through life.  Sprout’s recipes use a variety of fruit, vegetable, and grain blends that help babies adapt to new flavors and textures, and provide greater exposure to wholesome foods.

Sprout snacks also include the first quinoa based puff and Curlz, the first plant-powered snack for toddlers, made from organic chickpeas and lentils.  The snacks maintain freshness with organic rosemary instead of the artificial preservatives you see in other brands.  Their entire supply chain is clean, with ingredients from certified-organic growers.

The moms that attended our Baby Brunch all raved about the foods we tried, and everyone’s favorite was the “Pumpkin Apple Red Lentil with Cinnamon”.  The toddlers that tried the pouches kept running back for more, and “Red Berry & Beet” Crispy Chews were the snacking favorite!

I love that Sprout products are honest, wholesome foods for my little ones.  I’m so thankful that I can provide healthy options, and I don’t have to do the work (and the dishes) myself!  Sprout products can be purchased online or at retailers like Meijer, Target, Buy Buy Baby, and Walgreens.  Learn more about Sprout products, varieties, and where to purchase Sprout products at http://www.sproutorganicfoods.com/

I received free Sprout products and compensation for my review, but all opinions are honest and my own.
