The Super-Fast (anti-Pinterest) Lunch Packing Solution for Busy Moms

Nutritious, Delicious Lunches (without the cookie-cutters) in 3 Minutes

have partnered with Dannon Danimals to discuss Danimals Yo-Tubes and Danimals Squeezables. I have been compensated for my time. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

I love scrolling through Pinterest and seeing what super-moms can do with cookie cutters.  From star-shaped sandwiches to heart-shaped watermelon, I’m happy the lunchroom aides at my daughter’s school are not handing out grades.  With a full-time job and two young children, lunch packing follows a simple formula: veggie, fruit, meal, and treat.  And, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you which parts of the lunch actually get eaten!

I follow 3 steps in packing efficient (not photo-ready) meals for the kiddos:

  1. Make use of leftovers- Leftovers are my best friend.  Some days it can be chicken and salad, but some days this means pizza.  Don’t fight it.  This one makes lunch complete in 3 minutes.

  2. Have multiple containers and pre-prep food for the week.  If I have 10 good minutes, I can pack lunches and stack them in the refrigerator for the week.  From sandwiches to homemade “lunchables”, and quesadillas to nachos, it’s easy to pack it all on one day and grab-and-go in the mornings.

  3. Use pre-packaged snacks, fruits, and treats.  This one is the most important!  Anything that can be gra

  5. at is Danimals smoothies, pouches, and now yo-tubes!

Both of my kids love the new Danimals squeezables and yo-tubes!  The flavors like “cotton candy” give my kids the excitement of a sweet treat, and I am happy knowing they contain all-natural ingredients, calcium with vitamin D!  Plus, we don’t have to worry about the “oops, there’s a sugary treat” notes that come home from our health-conscious lunch aides.   My kiddos also love eating them as “popsicles”.  We keep them in the freezer at home, and they grab them as a quick snack between activities like swimming, dance, and soccer!

I may not have time to make photo-ready, colorful, lunches for my little ones every day, but I always make time to give them nutritious, well-balanced meals that I can feel good about, with a little help from convenient, on-the-go solutions like Danimals squeezables and yo-tubes!
