“All children, except one, grow up.” –J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan. Because our little boys tend to grow up in the blink-of-an-eye, we wanted our Boy’s Room to be playful and fun—a place for adventure!
Initial Impression: Our Boy’s Room was dull and dreary, with an old-fashioned light fixture and sad window treatments. This room also reflected no “personality”.

Boy’s Priorities/Wishes: Without an extra “play room” in the house, the Boy’s room also needed to double as a space to inspire imagination and creativity. The main priority in this room was making it a fun place to imagine daring adventures and bold explorations!
Linda’s Inspiration: The young boy is a preschooler and full of energy! I wanted to keep an open floor space for all of his trains, cars, dinosaurs, and action figures. Because of his love of dinosaurs, we showcased various dinosaur accessories along with stripes on the walls. The base color is Sherwin Williams 7029 Agreeable Gray. Accent stripes are SW6781 Jamaica Bay, SW6710 Melange Green, and BM #CC-932 North Sea.

The Results: Bold, brave, breathtaking, the graphic design of the paint is certain to “wow” everyone that sees it! The colors chosen from the existing bedding are the perfect foundation for any theme this little guy will choose in the years to come. But for now, the dinosaur décor inspires adventure, strength, and power.Let the world hear you roar, little man!

Mom’s Comments: We love that this room is playful and fun for a little boy, but easy to change as our little guy grows. There’s plenty of floor space for the large train and car sets, and he really appreciates his new space. I can’t say enough how energizing it is to feel like your room reflects what you enjoy.
The Spend: None of our projects were DIY, and professional painters, electricians, and handymen were hired for the work. Still, we were able to give this Boy’s Room some personality for under $600 for labor, materials, and decor!
